burn down, burn out, burn up
这三个短语都可表示“烧光”。它们的区别是：
burn down强调把某物“烧毁”,除此之外还可表示火势“减弱”。例如:

burn out强调“燃烧完了”。例如:

burn up除表示“烧光”外,还可表示“烧了起来”。例如:
