In this article, the measured profile is expressed by three cubed spline function, a precise mathematical model of evaluation is built and an approaching method for evaluating the profile error of the random plane curve is proposed.

The approaching method is one kind of method which can conform to the least zone principle best. While obtains the shape error, the position error between measured profile and its theory profile can obtained.
