borrow from, borrow of
一般讲“从…借”“向…借”,用介词from或of都可,用from多些。其细微差别是from强调“出处”,而of强调“所有权”。例如:
I borrowed a dictionary of our English teacher from Tom yesterday.昨天我从汤姆那里借了一本我们英语老师的字典。
borrow, lend
1.borrow是“借进”,表示“向某人借”,跟from〔of〕连用。lend是“借出”,表示“借给某人”,跟to连用。例如:
I borrowed a pound from〔of〕 my brother.
我从哥哥那儿借了一英镑。
My brother lent a pound to me. 〔My brother lent me a pound.〕
我哥哥借给我一英镑。
Some people neither borrow nor lend.
有些人不向别人借,也不借给别人。
2.lend后面可以接双宾语,而 borrow 不能。
