词源词根法
从一个主要事物的发展中分化出来叫“派生”。“派生法”是英语的重要构词法之一。这个词是从拉丁语的deriv.o变化来的，de即“away from”；rivus.“river”，合起来即“河流主流的支派”。动词derive在英语中的最早含义是“改变河流的流向”。现在则指任何从主要根源的“导出”，“引出”、“派生”、“衍生”。英语里也叫derive，这同词汇的“派生”颇相似。
