send sb to-v, send sb v-ing
send可接以动词不定式或现在分词充当宾语补足语的复合宾语,这两者意思并不相同。接动词不定式意思是“派某人做某事”,动词不定式所表示的动作是尚未发生的。接现在分词时意思是“使得”,现在分词所表示的动作是已经发生的。

send有时用作一般现在时,有时用作现在进行时,前者口气比较正式,多用于公文中,后者语气比较随便,多用在私人信函中。例如:

send for, go for
这两者所表达的意义不同:send for指派人或送信去请要请的人,也可用于遣人来取某物件; 而go for表示自己去取、去买、去请。例如:
